The soup is excellent! Akasaka “Akasaka Mendokoro Tomo“
Hello, this is Arlo!
Today we’re going to visit a ramen shop about five minutes from Akasaka.
You can find it at the end of the street next to Ikinari Steak, along the street where there are many Korean restaurants.
I’ve been curious about this place for a long time since I used to pass by this area often, but I’ve never had a chance to go in because it’s always full or there’s always a wait inside.

This time, there was a waiting list, but someone happened to be leaving, so we slipped in.
Since it was my first time, I ordered the “Mellow Agou-Dashi Shoyu Ramen” from the top left corner of the ticket vending machine.
I was wondering if I should order the chashu-don (pork rice bowl), but it was about 300 yen, so I decided against it because it was a bit over my budget and I ran out of coins for the shrine’s offering.

There are only 14 seats at the counter.
It’s separated by a partition, but it doesn’t feel oppressive and is just the right size to concentrate on eating.
Water is available at the counter and is self-serve.

The appearance of the store is stylish, but the subs are quite offensive!
Moreover, there are three kinds.
And there are three types of gyoza. 5 gyoza are free once a day for 300 yen a month.
I think I’ll get my money’s worth in about two sessions. It’s so cheap.
As I was looking around, I saw on the wall that they have flavored tamers (like “dressed tamers”). There is a special flavor for each ramen.
It seems that each ramen has its own flavor, which is pretty cool!
I looked at the ticket machine and saw that it was on the right side, but I only looked at the top left corner and the rice area, so I overlooked it.
I thought about asking for it in cash, but I only had ten thousand bills, so I’ll have to wait until next time.
I decided to simply enjoy the ramen this time.
While I was struggling with this, the ramen arrived.
Mellow agou-dashi soy sauce ramen”.
The ingredients were chashu pork, menma, potherb mustard, wakame seaweed, and nori seaweed.
It also comes with raayu to change the taste.
When I drank the soup, I found that it was quite tasty and full of the flavor of the fish stock.
It’s not too strong, but it’s not too angular, so you can really keep drinking it by itself.
The noodles were medium thin and straight.
The noodles are very smooth and go well with the soup.
The soup was so good that it was rare for me to be able to finish it.

It was a delicious ramen that I will definitely be repeating again soon.
