まさに王道!やっと行けたよ末広町「IEKEI_TOKYO王道家直系」

The very royal road! I finally made it to Suehirocho, “IEKEI_TOKYO Royal Road Family Direct Line”!

Hello, this is Arlo!

One of the regulars at the bar I sometimes go to these days likes Ramen, so I’ve been hearing a lot about it, and my Ramen fever has been on the rise.

It’s not that I go here and there, but it’s fun to hear about it ^^.

This time, I’m going to visit “IEKEI_TOKYO Oodouke Naikei” located in Suehirocho, between Ueno and Akihabara.

This is the first Tokyo branch of the long-established “Oodouke” family ramen shop in Kashiwa.

It opened in July of this year, but I didn’t have much time to visit here because of the Corona disaster.

I had heard that it was quite crowded, so I hadn’t been able to visit the restaurant.

This time, I happened to be in the neighborhood for work, so I visited.

And since it was raining hard, I was hoping that the line would be short.

We arrived around 11:20.

There were about 10 people lined up outside the restaurant. I waited in the alley just around the corner.

I thought it would be a long wait, but it took about 15 minutes to get inside.

When I entered the restaurant, the first thing I did was to get my meal ticket.

This time, I got a basic set of normal ramen with the usual seaweed and rice (lol).

In addition, I ordered two pieces of belly meat for 50 yen, so the total cost was exactly 1,000 yen.

Since it was the first time for me to order, I ordered only the hard noodles.

I’m just looking forward to it!

After buying the meal ticket, I waited on a bench inside the restaurant.

After buying the ticket, I waited on a bench inside the restaurant, and after about five minutes, I was called and seated.

By the way, water is available near the bench, so it would be smoother if you bring it before being seated.

There are a variety of items at the counter.

There are many kinds of rice, and if you can enjoy changing the flavor of the rice, you’ll have a reason to come back again and again.

After about three minutes, I started with the white rice. It seems like they offer a free large portion.

A lot of people order the white rice. It seems like a lot of people are waiting for the infinite garlic with mayonnaise when it arrives, but I like to eat it wrapped in seaweed soaked in the soup more than anything.

First, wait with pure white rice.

The ramen arrived in a couple of minutes.

I was able to eat it within 30 minutes of standing in line, so the turnover seemed to be better than I had expected.

Here is the ramen.

The ramen was quite gorgeous, with roasted meat.

I’m grateful that it’s only 1,000 yen!

The taste of the soup was quite thick, with a crisp soy sauce flavor.

Personally, I find it a bit salty, so I usually order it lighter.

But the taste is definitely delicious!

The noodles are medium-heavy and short. It’s just the way it should be!

I wish I could take a better picture of the noodles, but I wanted to eat it quickly, so it was always a mess.

The seaweed is about 6 to 8 sheets about the size of a quarter of a tatami mat. The nori is thick and does not lose its shape when soaked in the soup.

I wrapped it around my rice and ate it, and it was definitely excellent!

The chashu (pork chashu) is also included by default in addition to the belly meat, and it’s all very tender and delicious!

You should really add two more pieces because they’ll be gone soon! (laughs)

After that, I was enjoying the infinite garlic and mayonnaise over rice.

We finished it in no time!

I know it’s hard to find the right time to go, but I still want to try the rest of the menu!

I recommend it on a rainy day (laughs)

So long~!
