好みの担々麺を作れる! 赤坂「四川担々麺 赤い鯨」

You can make your own tantanmen! Akasaka “Szechuan Tantanmen Red Whale

Hello, this is Arlo!

This time, I went to “Szechuan Tantanmen Akai Whale”, a famous Tantanmen restaurant that is often featured on TV.

It’s about a 3-minute walk from Akasaka Station, take the Aoyama exit.

This is a popular tantanmen restaurant where there is always a line at lunchtime.

Today, I arrived around 1:00 p.m., but luckily there was no line.

Actually, this restaurant accepts PayPay despite the ticket system.

They also support cashless payment, so it’s quite convenient!

By the way, if you want to use cashless payment, you don’t need to buy a meal ticket, but pay at your seat.

In addition, there is a joint campaign between Minato City and PayPay that I wrote about recently.

“Tokimeku, Minatoku. It also supports the local support campaign.

In other words, if you pay with PayPay, you get 30% off!

It’s too big.

So I went in right away.

Here’s the menu.

There are quite a few choices, so it’s hard to choose.

The list is here.

They also have a wide variety of toppings, so you can enjoy it many times.

Inside the restaurant, there are many tables and counters that can accommodate a lot of people.

I got the impression that there are a lot of women who come here alone because the store is stylish.

When waiting, you can go outside from the entrance.

This time, since I was paying with PayPay, I went straight to my seat after entering the restaurant.

I used the QR code to pay the bill.

Last time, I had the normal tantanmen, so I was tempted to try the soupless version.

This time, I ordered the “Pikoo Tumbo Noodles,” which I was interested in since it was 30% off.

Pai kow = pork bones, right?

In fact, in Japan, pakko is more like deep-fried pork cutlets with spices. Depending on the spices, it may have a curry flavor.

Another interesting thing when ordering is that you can choose the spiciness and numbness (sansho, etc.).

You can customize it to your liking!

My tolerance for spiciness is always normal and just right, so this time I ordered the basic 2 for both.

When you order, you will be given sesame seeds to slurp up.

I waited for about five minutes.

Here’s the “Paiko Tumbo Noodles”!

It’s quite creamy.

It’s a creamy type with a lot of ingredients including minced meat, Chinese cabbage, and nuts.

Pikoo looks delicious too!

The noodles are medium-thick and a little crumpled by hand.

The noodles are medium-thick and a little crumpled by hand, but this thickness brings out the broth well and makes it tasty.

The pikoo is not curry style, but Chinese style spices, and it is voluminous.

The minced meat was well seasoned and tasty! It was a bit numbing.

The only thing is that it was a bit numbing, so personally, I’d say “1” is about right.

I regretted not ordering rice for this dish.

It’s a must next time.

There are many other options on the menu, so I’d like to try it without soup or with cheese topping!

It’s a must-try in the fierce battleground of tantanmen in Akasaka.

I’m glad I timed it right because there was a line again on the way home!

So long~!
